Time to Pay It Forward
I have 4 siblings, 1 younger sister and 3 older brothers. If your idea of drama is watching Jersey Shore or The Real World, well you haven't lived a day in my house. Growing up my older brothers didn't always make the right decisions and caused a lot of anger and pain in my family. Being the 'good one' out of the bunch made the hard times extremely difficult on me. Not knowing how to cope with everything that was brewing up around me caused me to turn to my schooling and art. No one from my family had ever gone to college and no one from my family generation had yet graduated high school. I became determined. Determined to make people proud. To prove them wrong. To show them I can do it. I' m now about to be a Junior at the University of West Florida, majoring in graphic design and I am very proud of how far I've come. I used education to guide me to be the person I am today and hopefully you'll donate to help a child in need of a way out too.
There are more than 75 million children without access to education, and together we can do something about it. Education is a cause that's truly important to me, so I'm excited to join the Pencils of Promise movement that empowers lives around the world by building schools for children in need. Education might not be priceless these days but the joy you'll give to these children will be.
Please donate and help spread the word about my campaign across Facebook, Twitter and to everyone you know. Just $120 allows Pencils of Promise to give a child access to education for a full year, so I would love your help to try and raise as much money as possible!
Thanks again for your support, and remember: While one person can make a change, only together can we change the world.
