PoP school for Amanda's legacy

iluut's founder Elina Cerell has always dreamed to make a positive impact with her work.

"I want to live a life with a purpose. It's great to wake up every morning knowing that the actions made today will truly matter. In my case it means creating conscious, sustainable clothes together with a lovely team and give a percentage of each product's margin to build a PoP school. The dream of happy children running to the school we have financed together keeps me going", Elina explains.

iluut was founded in 2016 after she made a YouTube video through which she found an amazing team that includes Silvia Osella, an internationally well-known print designer and Vj Taganahan, a talented fashion designer committed to create minimalistic, timeless garments.

Before the launch of the brand, Elina lost unexpectedly her first child Amanda, only two days before the due date.

"The shock was huge! It was super hard to understand how these things can happen. Without doubts this loss has been the hardest thing in my life. But in the middle of the whole sorrow I really wanted to concentrate even harder than before, doing something that matters."

Three months after the loss, on Christmas Holidays 2015 Elina read Adam Braun's book and was amazed by the way the PoP organization started and how it is operated. Then it became clear that the first thing iluut would try to achieve would have been building a PoP school and naming it after Amanda (the name means "worthy of love"). 5 % of each iluut product's marging is donated for this school project. Because iluut is a small start-up company we highly appreciate also private donations for this project.

"We think each child is worthy of love and we want to show that with a concrete action: supporting children's education," Silvia tells and Vj continues: "The world can change one step at the time, and everything starts with a better education. We're trying to make our very best changing the fashion into a more sustainable direction. This is our first step and we want to welcome everyone to join! Alone we can't make it happen but working hard together, only the sky is the limit."
