Together we are proving the power of dance music knows no bounds. Thanks to YOU, my friends, my family, and of course, Pencils of Promise, we're giving children in developing countries the opportunity to receive an education. We started with the Justo Rufino Primary School in Guatemala in January of 2013, and I'm committed to building at LEAST three schools with Pencils of Promise.

For our first school, we raised $25,000 for the Justo Rufino Primary School in just two months. Remember way back in April 2012 when my remix of James Egbert's "Back to New" came out on Beatport? Proceeds from the sale of my remix totaled $12,500 and I matched those proceeds with a $12,500 donation of my own. To start fundraising for the second school, I donated $1 from every ticket sold during the fall 2012 3LAU Your Mind Tour. Through those 22 shows we were able to raise $10,876, and now I've partnered with Electric Family to complete fundraising for the 2nd school. When you purchase a 3LAU bracelet from Electric Family, all proceeds will go to Pencils of Promise!

In addition to purchasing a bracelet, you can help me spread the word about my campaign across Facebook, Twitter and to everyone you know. Just $25 allows Pencils of Promise to give a child access to education for one year; I would love you to help me try to raise as much money as possible!

Moving forward, our goal is to reach $200,000 raised by the end of 2016 to build a total of 8 schools (6 more) together! When we reach that goal, we are going to plan a trip with eight donors to visit a few of the schools we all helped establish!

Much Love,

- J
